Singapore Airlines is the national carrier of Singapore. Its main hub is situated at Singapore Changi Airport and it operates flights to destinations in the Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia and also to Australia and the USA. Singapore Airlines Limited is the world’s largest carrier by market capitalization and is the 11th largest airline in Asia.

Singapore Airlines was founded in 1947 as Malayan Airlines and it started operations under its current name in 1972. The fleet of Singapore Airlines consisted of 108 aircraft in 2010. Singapore Airlines is a member of Star Alliance and it also has its own subsidiaries (e.g. SilkAir). Singapore Airlines has two special loyalty programs for regular passengers – KrisFlyer and PPS Club. Both of these programs offer special discounts and benefits.
